I want to say a quick good luck to my brother-in-law Dave, who is competing in his first Iron Man competition tomorrow. This is how he'll be spending his Saturday,
3.8km swim starting at 7:00am in the morning
180km bike ride around the Island
42.195km run
Yes that's a marathon to finish the day. Dave will be doing all this in the heat of Lanzarote. Once again good luck Dave!
One woman, a 43 litre pack and some big plans. After many years in the planning (and saving) I've quit my job and I'm setting out to travel the world. Along the way I hope to meet some interesting people and see some amazing sights. You are invited to share it all with me here.

That's so wierd! That's how I spent Saturday too!
This is the same Garreth who had a gym membership for a year and never went? Of course I sympathise, if they put a gym a whole flight of stairs away from your desk, what do they expect?
